Body count from Mannar mass-grave rises to 53

A group of construction workers who were laying water pipes stumbled across an unmarked mass grave in the North-Western town of Mannar. This is what has happened so far, and a bit of background.

Note: An earlier edition of this article stated HRW believed that the LTTE is likely to be responsible for the mass grave. Following a clarification with its Asia Desk, the post has been changed to reflect a more accurate representation on HRW’s view on the matter.
